Natti & Desi

Natti and Desi live in Port Douglas, so although I knew them before they booked me as their celebrant, that didn’t mean they were going to let me off with an easy booking! Our beautiful town is filled with awesome wedding vendors, they had the tough job of choosing, who not to choose to assist them with their wedding. So I was doubly pleased when they asked me to assist them. The girls were so excited that they were actually getting married, it was impossible not to get fully wrapped up in the process with them.

As we planned their big day, I was prive to lots of discussions and secrets they had planned, as well as info on those amazing surprise dresses. The beautiful brides arrived at St Mary’s by the Sea (separately) in a vintage Cadillac….owning their joint style. Dressed in hand made vintage lace and crochet dresses, they made their joint processional into the chapel, to the very apt words of Etta James “At Last” and the rousing applause of their guests, who had filled the chapel to bursting. There was so much love in the little space, it was practically lifting the roof off.

Natti spent the whole ceremony giggling, squealing, laughing and crying, I was sure at one point she was going to burst with joy or pass out from lack of oxygen. Desi, could’t take her eyes off her beautiful bride and looked so happy and proud to be standing with her in front of all their loved ones. As I looked into the assembled crowd, it was hard to hold back my own tears as I saw a sea of smiles and tears of joy as these two gorgeous girls made their promises and vows. Their rings had been blessed by the moon, the stars and the sun in the days before the wedding. They truly are soulmates, two sides of the same coin, they are absolutely made for each other. My heart burst for them as I was privileged to announce that it was time to “Kiss their Wife”! And they sure did

After the beautiful ceremony the energy continued, they dined under Natti’s beautiful Macrame creations, installed in the SugarWharf and danced the night away under the stars on the deck.
