One of the best enquiries I can get is “You were our friends celebrant and we loved their ceremony, so please will you be our celebrant?”. That’s how Nadia and Gavin introduced themselves and asked me to be their celebrant…… How could I say no?
These two beautiful souls just radiate fun and love! We had such a great time planning their wedding, keeping it fun and relaxed, with just the right amount of humour, mixed with a big sprinkle of romance. They understand each other completely and navigate life together with love humour and grace….along with their cute dog Scooter…..I’m always a sucker for a fur baby at a wedding!!
The lead up to their big day was relaxed and organised, nothing was a drama, everything was fun, they had a plan and went for it, they never wavered and owned all their style decisions. Their Wedding was a beautiful moment at Little Cove, their guests filled the space and radiated love for the two of them. As Nadia made her entrance with her parents walking her in together, I heard Gavin gasp at the first sight of his Bride and as Nina Simone sang “Here Come’s the Sun”….. everything seemed even brighter and sun kissed. The guests whispered in delight as cooed over her entrance as Nadia made her way to her Groom. During the ceremony, the two of them could hardly contain themselves, as they danced, laughed and celebrated all the way through the ceremony. They enjoyed themselves so much, it was almost a surprise when I informed them it was time to go for that first smooch, which they did with such style!
After the ceremony, Nadia and Gavin made the most of all the crazy fun in town for the annual Port Douglas Carnivale, they danced their way into the Spiegeltent for a private moment on stage, before making their way to the iconic SugarWharf where they continued to dance the night away with their nearest and dearest…….and boy did they all dance and dance and dance.
