Alison & Lance
Alison and Lance chose me as their celebrant on the recommendation of a friend and I couldn’t have been more delighted. I knew from the first meeting we were going to get along, they have a relaxed way about them and their love for each other is evident. Their wedding promised to be a relaxed, fun event with lots of romance and extra emphasis on their children and their friends.
We chatted about their ideas, they wanted to include Isla and Oliver as much as possible in the ceremony, so a combined wedding and naming ceremony felt like the perfect plan. This would be the day that they would declare to whole world that they were a family in every sense of the word.
The wedding day arrived and everything was perfect for their ceremony at Little Cove, with gorgeous weather, blue skies over the Coral Sea, just a hint of a sea breeze and the perfect temperature. Lance arrived in plenty of time as he always does and as the first guests arrived, we joked about hiding his phone so work wouldn’t interrupt the ceremony! As more guests arrived and the time drew near, more jokes were banded about, keeping Lance’s nerves at bay….. Then the moment we were all waiting for, Alison arrived at Little Cove in a stylish red convertible and made her entrance to the inimitable tones of Chrissie Hynde and “I’ll Stand by You”.
I watched Lance as his wife to be walked towards him and he was a man transfixed, I heard him whisper something….I’m pretty sure it was WOW! During the ceremony we laughed at the jokes, cried at the love and were baffled, amused & bemused by the antics of Olly and Isla……You just never know what the kids are going to do at a wedding, so just wing it! They will keep you on your toes, do exactly the opposite to what you expect, have you in stitches and completely steal the show!
Kind words from Alison & Lance
Stephanie was simply amazing. She explained the whole process of the actual wedding act. She was so incredibly intuitive with what we both wanted to achieve with our ceremony.
We included a naming ceremony for our 2 children as well. Nothing was too much trouble for Stephanie and she was there to answer any questions. She was very generous with her time and advice. She even had the songs downloaded ready so I didn’t have to think about that either! We borrowed a small table and chairs for the signing and that was another thing we didn’t have to think anymore about.
Both my husband and I would recommend giving Stephanie a call to discuss your special day.
